Welcome to the Mile High Bull Terrier Club’s Web site - a Colorado based non-profit group dedicated to show, care, rescue, adoption of English Bull Terriers in the metro Denver region. Our club was started in 1981, with our first supported show in 1983. Our members come from various cities all along the Front Range.

Over the years we have become an affiliated club with the national Bull Terrier Club of America, held fun matches and supported shows, and offered other bully get-togethers. Please check our Events and News page for our next gatherings, shows and meetings.

Our major emphasis has shifted from showing to rescue, with more than 20 English Bull Terriers being rescued in 2005, 16 in 2006 and 13 in 2007. Our first Bully Walk attracted many rescue families, and the rescue committee was delighted to see how these previously sad bullies were thriving, spoiled family members. Breed-specific legislation is, unfortunately, alive and well in parts of Colorado. Denver and Aurora have “pit-bull” bans in effect. Thanks to mighty efforts by Club members in the early ‘90’s, Bull Terriers are NOT banned anywhere in the state (click here for the "I am a Bull Terrier - Not a Pit Bull" flyer).

We encourage all responsible bull terrier owners to attend our Bully Walks and show their dogs off at the park, on walks, and in dog training classes. Only education about our silly critters will keep them safe.
